I woke up this morning - always an indication that the day may hold some promise.
This wake up felt different than all of the other mornings I have had.
It was on this day 50 years ago – August 27-1966 – that the staff at the hospital greeted my arrival.
Life has been full of peaks and valleys over the years. Like most people, I’ve been to the top and also hit rock bottom.
I know the feeling of getting promotions and bonuses, and I know the feeling of not eating for three days because I didn’t have enough money for food.
I have enjoyed the beauty of seeing all 4 of my children born, and the stress of being laid off three times, Divorced, moving around, loss. I LOVE FINDING THE HAPPINESS ...I am on a constant search for it.
Mostly, I’ve wondered if I would ever hit forty – let alone fifty – and overcoming a number of obstacles to actually make it to this day.
The ups and downs in my life have continued , but through even the worst times, my kids have been an inspiration to keep trying for a better life.
The morning of my 50th birthday my daughter Emily and I ran the 5k Color Run. What a beautiful day, filled with happiness. Also some photo's from my awesome co workers that took time to decorate my cubicle.
