Magic is in the air and with only 4 days until Halloween it is time to get some last minute ideas finished up. I have placed my paper mache' pumpkins on the porch and am really happy with them, they are durable in even in light rain and light up well with the small electronic tea lights I found at the dollar store. I finished my fall pallet to hold my corn stalks and used an old ladder to display some fall items including a wreath I made from old leaves. Sometimes I feel like by the time I get done with the fall decorations I am already getting excited about Christmas :).
Not only am I obsessed with gypsy wagons and vintage campers, Tiny houses are high on my list of must haves. I love the idea, I think this is a direction people need to go in for many reasons. If I was lucky enough to have a piece of land I would actually set my little home on. Such a fun idea!
My favorite time of year has moved in and there are so many wonderful ideas on the web it is hard to find the time to locate them all. I have pinned boards that are still from 3 years ago of idea's I have not finished so it is time to find some method to my madness. I love the scarecrow ideas for women this year and also the burlap pumpkin heads for kids. The photo above is absolutely amazing to me as far as the cute and creepy goes, I give it a ten. Really Loving it!
At first, in October I am in a rush just to get as much done as I can, now that all of the fall items are out and I have had some time to look at it for awhile I am still looking for some last minute ideas that will really make the trick or treating visitor's want to come back every year.
So far, this year, I have several straw bundles and finished my pallet signs. I also added a large welcome sign to the porch and my new paper mache' pumpkins. I am really happy with these, for one, they look great, two if they turn up missing it is no loss, they cost about 20 cents to make.
I am moving my fire pit to the front of the house for a fire and placing some straw bales with blankets on them to sit on for cold visitors. I am also considering grilling some hot dog's for the spooky visitors that come our way. How do you spend your evening?
