We are down to the wire and Christmas Eve is here. The day will go quickly and filled with waiting children and last minute gifts, pies and cookie decorating. The music fills the air and the fireplace is lit. Ahhh if it would just snow, just a little. Frozen tree ornaments so easy to make ! I hope everyone that reads this has a beautiful day. and that your holiday is all that you dreamed it would be. I will be making some some chocolate dipped pretzels in my crazy kitchen that is getting ready to be converted to yellow soon. Lighting some candles and putting the music on while the kids play cards at the table. We started our year with a family filled with grandparents and others. Several months later we are alone and there is no where to go and no one to have over. A nice quiet day filled with lots of hugs. Hopefully some of these last minute ideas are useful to you :) Hugs Freeze colored water in balloons and wow! Beautiful colored ice pieces for the walkway! and for New Years :)
I know it is is Christmas but I am ready for some spring time I have been making major gardening plans for spring after adding more brick to my patio and moving some fence posts around. I really want to do something new with my chicken house and I want to find an ivy that will cover my old shed very quickly. My morning glory seeds have reached perfection and the stalks and stems on them at the base were as big as baseball bats. I have been photographing them and harvesting seeds and may have some available next spring for sale. If you are interested in purchasing some, I would love to share. Message me for info
Starting seeds in newspaper pots
Roll the folded paper around a small juice glass so that about an inch or less of it overlaps the bottom of the glass. Tape with a small piece of masking tape which will eventually decompose along with the newspaper.
I love wine bottles and have seen so many different crafts to try with them. I have a wine bottle cutter and it has never worked. I tried using the nail polish on a string. I tried lighting it on fire. I have not had good luck breaking my wine bottles in half even after watching many videos on this. I have found some great things to do with them that I can manage, here are some I am trying and most are easy and require no cutting. There are so many amazing Ideas I am going to follow up with this with a few more posts to include more ideas. Plant starter
